Inside the November issue of Teen Vogue, cover star Lauren Conrad dishes about her upcoming fashion line and her new MTV reality show. Here are some highlights:
On her new reality show with MTV: "This time the focus is going to be on my job, and while that's still personal to me, I will also have a part of my life that can be mine."
On the design hurdles she faces: "I've been working every single day since I was seventeen toward this...I go into meetings, and people have this preconceived notion of me that I didn't work hard to get where I am."
On the inspiration for new reality show: "One of the inspirations for this show is The September Issue. It's going to be filmed more like a documentary."
On adding accessories to her Kohl's range: "They were like, 'Do you want to do sunglasses?' and I said, 'Only if I can do them big!' Then they were like, 'Do you want to do shoes?' And I said, 'Only if I can do them tall!'
On her new fashion line, Paper Crown: "The focus will be on really great fits, fabrics, and details. It won't be overly trendy—nothing that's trying too hard."
