It's been a long time coming, but actress and industry darling Kerry Washington is on the June 2013 cover of US Elle — the first time she's covered a major American fashion magazine. The cover, shot by Horst Diekgerdes, shows Washington in a look from Marc Jacobs. But even though we've only just begun to dip our toes into the month of May, more than a few glossy covers from the month of June have started to trickle in. Take Carey Mulligan's June cover for Harper's Bazaar UK, for example. The actress, who channeled The Great Gatsby's Daisy Buchanan on the May cover of American Vogue, takes an angelic turn here in a baby pink coat from Prada's Spring 2013 collection. There are some other stunners, including Gwyneth Paltrow for Glamour UK, Karlie Kloss for Vogue Japan, and Nicolas Ghesquiere and Charlotte Gainsbourg for 032c, in which the designer discusses life after Balenciaga. A look at those covers and more, here in the gallery.
Trend Alert: Geometric Nail Art
Nail art is a regular occurrence on the red carpet, but we've been seeing stars sporting a variety of geometric nails as of late. Demi Lovato showed off a black manicure accented with three metallic stripes over the weekend, while Kerry Washington paired her black polish with a white chevron tip to complement her dress at the recent Peeples premiere. January Jones also got into the graphic trend, sporting a classic red polish topped with a black triangle accent at the base of her nails for an edgier take on the moon manicure. We even saw geometric nails on the New York Fashion Week 2013 runways, so clearly this trend is here to stay. You can get similar looks, too, with these nail art tutorials:

And Eva Longoria gave her loose hanging curls some serious volume at the crown. Side parts are universally flattering, but whose did you prefer?
