Hilary Swank and Emmy Rossum got a head start on the Oscar celebrations when they attended Mont Blanc and UNICEF's 2nd annual pre-Oscars brunch in LA yesterday. They were joined by Alyssa Milano, who wore a Dolce & Gabbana dress, and Les Misérables actress Samantha Barks, who kept things simple in a cling navy dress. Samantha's cast will also be on hand to cheer on their co-stars who are up for awards, including Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman — check out the Les Misérables cast's road to the Oscars!
Leighton, Freida, and Hilary Get Stylish at the Louvre For Ferragamo
Stars came out to watch Ferragamo's Resort collection debut during the brand's fashion show held at the Louvre Museum in Paris yesterday. Leighton Meester, Freida Pinto, and Hilary Swank all wore looks from the designer, as did Karolina Kurkova and Virginie Ledoyen. Leighton switched gears to fashion after spending the last few weeks promoting her big-screen project with Adam Sandler, That's My Boy. She stopped by the MTV Movie Awards and Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this month to show off the film, which hits cinemas today. Freida has also been busy with press for her latest acting efforts, and attended the Cannes Film Festival for Desert Dancer. Karolina was also on hand for the glamorous French event and also recently showed her style at the CFDA Awards.
Hilary, Leighton, and Freida Dazzle at Ferragamo's Resort Show at the Prestigious Louvre
Hilary Swank, Leighton Meester, and Freida Pinto stepped out last night to view Ferragamo's history-making Resort collection as the first ever fashion show to be held at the Musée du Louvre in Paris. All three stars were decked out in the brand's Autumn/Winter '12 collection: Hilary styled her gold-embroidered, black sheer dress with a pair of sexy strappy sandals; Leighton wore a wine-hued, off-shoulder sheer peasant top paired with an embroidered pencil skirt; while Freida opted for a fitted black embroidered sheath dress. We love all of their dark and mysterious looks, but tell us, which celebrity wore Ferragamo's Autumn/Winter collection best?
Currently Trending: Sheer Appeal
Spearheaded by a red-carpet obsession with Stella McCartney's cut-out dresses, the sheer trend is dominating this latest batch o celebrity style. It can be lace and boudoir-inspired, mesh and slightly sporty, or delicate and feminine via silk chiffon, but the main message is this: show some skin without really showing some skin. At the premiere for My Valentine this past weekend in LA, stars including Reese Witherspoon, Miranda Kerr, and Gwen Stefani sported the sheer trend thanks to Stella McCartney (who was also in attendance, but kept herself completely covered up). We got inspired to pull together a best-of edit. Step inside to shop the celebrity-endorsed trend.

Stars Celebrate New Year's Eve Early at the LA Premiere
The Hollywood premiere of New Year’s Eve, the latest ensemble film from director Garry Marshall, took place in LA today, and lots of the stars hit the black carpet at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre to celebrate its debut. Lea Michele, in a sexy, plunging Valentino dress, seemed to have a great time with her onscreen love interest Ashton Kutcher, and she also had the support of some of her Glee guys, such as Cory Monteith and Darren Criss. Katherine Heigl and Sofia Vergara matched in their black, strapless dresses, while Hilary Swank, Fergie and Abigail Breslin opted for sparkly creations. Zac Efron and Michelle Pfeiffer stuck together for some shots, and have been doing lots of their press together. Other stars in the movie include Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Biel and Ryan Seacrest. New Year’s Eve is released in Australia on Dec. 8.

Count the Stars (and Clichés) in the New Year's Eve Trailer
If you remember last year's ensemble comedy Valentine's Day, then you already know everything you need to about New Year's Eve. It's got the same formula — a group of people's love lives intersect in the name of a special time of year — only this time we've got a new holiday and (some) new faces. So who's starring this time around? The laundry list is too long to complete here, but most notably we've got Jessica Biel, Ashton Kutcher, Lea Michele, Zac Efron, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank and Robert DeNiro. Yes, Robert DeNiro. Now, don't get me wrong: I love a good sappy romantic comedy just as much as the next girl, but everything about this trailer just feels so uninspired. Even the couplings failed to pique my interest (something about seeing Rachel Berry getting seduced by scruffy Kutcher made me feel icky). Perhaps I'm being too harsh though, so check it out and judge for yourself.
