Kate Moss buddied up with her pal Stella McCartney to attend the Hoping Foundation's Rock On event at Cafe de Paris in London last night. Between rocking out to musical guests, Kate fit in a bit of PDA with her husband, Jamie Hince, who took the stage for a set with Florence Welch. Also in attendance for the evening, which benefited refugee children in Palestine, was Noel Gallagher, Hugh Grant, and Russell Brand, who also got behind the mic. Kate's back on the party circuit in London after jetting off to China last month where she celebrated the inaugural Art Basel show in Hong Kong.
Kate wasn't the only star to recognise World Refugee Day this year — Angelina Jolie marked the occasion with a press conference in Jordan after meeting with refugees along Jordan's border with Syria earlier in the week.
Those Brits really know how to have a good time! Last night's Rock On Benefit for Palestinian refugee children in London brought out a swag of fashion's most fun-loving personalities — Kate Moss and Stella McCartney getting into the tunes provided by Mr Moss himself Jamie Hince and Florence Welch. Add in best-dressed regulars Laura Bailey and Tallulah Harlech (that be daughter of Chanel muse/co-collaborator Lady Amanda Harlech) and voila! You've got yourself one stylish shindig. Step inside to see what the cool kids wear to let loose in.

The world premiere of The Great Gatsby was held at the Lincoln Center in NYC today, and the film’s big stars were out in force on the black carpet. Man of the moment Leonardo DiCaprio arrived solo but his handsome co-stars Tobey Maguire and Joel Edgerton had their significant others with them, Jennifer Meyer and Alexis Blake respectively. Leading lady Carey Mulligan chose a strapless red Lanvin dress for the occasion, while Isla Fisher picked floral Dolce & Gabbana.
Jay-Z, who serves as executive producer on the movie’s soundtrack, was also on hand for the premiere, but his wife Beyoncé, who did a cover of Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black” for the album, couldn’t make it because she’s currently on her Mrs. Carter world tour in London. Florence Welch, who also contributed a song to the soundtrack, hugged it out with director Baz Luhrmann, and when Baz wasn’t mingling with his stars he posed with wife Catherine Martin, the movie’s costume designer. Catherine worked with designer Miuccia Prada on some of the gorgeous dresses, and last night Prada threw a cocktail reception for The Great Gatsby to celebrate an upcoming exhibit of the costumes.
The Great Gatsby is one of the year’s most anticipated films after having its release date constantly pushed back. After the NYC premiere, the cast will head to France where they’ll open the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Then they’ll return to Sydney, where a majority of the 3D film was shot, for its third red carpet outing on May 22, ahead of its May 30 release. Despite all the reports about production delays and budget issues, Aussie star Callan McAuliffe, who portrays young Jay Gatsby, tweeted this after watching it today: “I hate to overuse the phrase but I think it's necessary here... Gatsby was DAMN FANCY.”
The stars of the hotly anticipated film, The Great Gatsby, have started to arrive at the world premiere in New York. Aussie beauty Isla Fisher looks very sweet with volumised curls and pink lips, while Nina Dobrev is rocking her usual, sexy look. Katy Perry got in the roaring '20s spirit when she attended a cocktail reception for The Great Gatsby and Prada in NYC last night. She wore a purple Prada frock as she mingled with the film's stars Isla Fisher and Carey Mulligan, as well as her fellow musician Florence Welch. The fete was to celebrate an exhibition of the dresses that Miuccia Prada and costume designer Catherine Martin created for the upcoming film. The fashionable stars were joined by the film's director, Baz Luhrmann, who is married to Catherine, as well as Maggie Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire, who attended the celebration with his wife, and Miuccia herself.
Carey recently talked to Harper's Bazaar about wearing Prada-designed frocks for the project, noting that she's "always loved their clothes." She said, "They were the first designer house that ever lent me anything; I wore Prada to the Oscars. The people who work there are so lovely and really just non-scary fashion people."
It's music's biggest night, and for that reason, it's only fitting that the industry's best bring out their hottest beauty looks. Rihanna was a huge stand out with beautiful extensions, Beyoncé played it safe (but classic) with a sleek ponytail, and Alexa Chung stole hearts all over the world with Chanel earrings worn as hair clips.
