Jennifer Lawrence dressed up in a Dior gown to hit the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival for the Jimmy P.: Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian premiere last night. She was joined by her Catching Fire crew: Liam Hemsworth, Sam Claflin, and director Francis Lawrence. Also in attendance to show their support for Jimmy P., which stars Benicio del Toro, were Calvin Klein-clad Doutzen Kroes; Eva Longoria, who wore Atelier Versace; and Jane Fonda. Steven Spielberg, who is serving as one of the jurors at this year's festival, was joined by wife Kate Capshaw for the glamorous event at the Palais des Festivals.
It was quite the day for Jennifer and her men, who were busy promoting their own film in Cannes in the morning. Jennifer, Liam and Sam posed for a Catching Fire photo call after Liam hit the town on Saturday night for the Belvedere bash.
Australian model Megan Gale is no stranger to the Cannes Film Festival, but this year might be her most glamorous appearance yet! Wearing a custom-made dress created by her friend and go-to designer, Alex Perry, Megan joined four of her fellow L'Oreal Paris spokeswomen — the cosmetics giant has been the festival's official makeup artist since 1997 — on the red carpet at the premiere of Benicio Del Toro's new film, Jimmy P. Megan posed in the rain with stars Cheryl Cole, Eva Longoria, Doutzen Kroes and Jane Fonda, afterwards tweeting to them, "Lovely to meet you tonight . . . Much love to you all". There's still somethin' about the Little White Dress. And who better to turn to for inspiration than some of the most fashionable famous faces? We're talking about Eva Longoria, Kerry Washington, Jamie Chung, and Olivia Munn, and the list goes on. The best part of breaking out the LWD is that it's just so easy to style . . . with just about everything. From a classic white pump to a metallic sandal to a fun pop of colour via a crossbody bag, it's all fair game. Click through to see how 33 celebrities styled their LWDs, then put your own spin on it.
Just when you thought that centre parts were here to stay, celebrities change the game. A bevy of women stepped out last week with styles that were deeply parted and swept over to one side. Lauren Conrad brushed her ombré curls to one side and kept the other side loose, while Kerry Washington pinned one side of her hair against her head. And Eva Longoria gave her loose hanging curls some serious volume at the crown. Side parts are universally flattering, but whose did you prefer?
Eva Longoria donned a short white dress to celebrate the launch of Ferragamo's L'Icona line in honour of the 35th anniversary of the brand's iconic shoe line, Vara, last night at The McKittrick Hotel in NYC. She paired up with James Ferragamo for the festivities, which were also attended by Nicky Hilton, Victoria's Secret model Lily Aldridge, and more. The shoe celebrations were a family affair for Nicky, who was flanked by her parents, Kathy and Rick Hilton, while Lily got to link up with her model pal Jessica Hart.
Eva may have been celebrating more than just her designer friend last night. It was announced yesterday that Eva will star in a new sitcom, Mother Up! The series will be a part of Hulu's new original programming content that also features an animated series from Seth Meyers. The new project comes at just the right time for Eva, after the cancellation of Ready For Love, which she produced for NBC. It's not all over for Eva's series, though, since the unaired episodes will finish their run online.
If you've ever wondered what to wear when celebrating with one of fashion's most iconic brands, this style-conscious crew from Ferragamo's NYC party last night could lend you a few very chic outfit ideas. Jessica Hart has a look for the more fashion-forward downtown girl; the homegrown hottie arrived in a printed miniskirt and pastel-hued jacket, but gave the outfit a seriously sexy twist with a pair of lace-up over-the-knee boots. Eva Longoria provided a more understated — but impeccably chic — cocktail look in a sculptural little white dress and gold-studded heels. Meanwhile, Lily Aldridge put her model pins on display in a quilted short-sleeved LBD and cut-out pointed-toe heels, and Nicky Hilton styled up a party-ready play on the black and white trend, complete with a pair of studded Valentino heels. That's the breakdown on what this leggy set wore to party with Ferragamo — now it's time to weigh in. Which look gets your vote?
