Christian Bale and Wife Visit Aurora Shooting Victims and Memorial
Christian Bale and his wife, Sibi Blazic, brought flowers to contribute to the memorial outside the scene of the Dark Knight Rises massacre at the Century 16 cinema in Aurora, Colorado, today. Earlier in the day, Christian also made a stop by the hospital to visit the victims of the shooting. One of the patients who was hurt during the attack, Carey Rottman, posted a photo of himself with Bale in his hospital room on his Facebook wall. Christian reportedly made the trip to Colorado on his own, not as a representative of the Warner Bros. movie studio or film. On Friday, Christian released a statement after the Dark Knight Rises shooting, saying, "Words cannot express the horror that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them."

The Week in Pictures: The Dark Knight Rises, Shirtless Hugh, Elle's Bikini Getaway & More!
The Dark Knight Rises was always bound to make headlines this week with the release of the anticipated blockbuster, but it made the news in a way no one could’ve imagined when a gunman opened fire in an Aurora, Colorado cinema during one of the midnight screenings early Friday morning. The cast and director Christopher Nolan were due to hit the red carpet in Paris after successful premieres in NYC and London, but the event was cancelled and the cast have gone home. In other celebrity outings, we were treated to an abundance of cute baby pictures, such as Harper Beckham and Flynn Bloom walking, and Ben Affleck being reunited with his kids in Puerto Rico. And two Aussies stripped down for some beach fun — Hugh Jackman hit Bondi Beach while Elle Macpherson enjoyed some bikini time on holiday in Formentera. There’s way more when you click through, including Kate Middleton, Russell Brand’s rumoured new girlfriend, and Michelle Williams and Jason Segel’s lunch date with Matilda.
The Dark Knight Rises Stars Get Stylish For Their London Premiere
The stars of The Dark Knight Rises gathered in London yesterday evening for their UK premiere. Anne Hathaway wore a Gucci gown with an intricate neckline to pose on the carpet with co-stars Tom Hardy and Christian Bale. Marion Cotillard, one of Dior's spokeswomen, showed her brand loyalty in an ensemble from the Christian Dior Couture collection designer Raf Simons sent down the runway just two weeks ago. The event also had a royal touch with Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie in attendance. Both Anne and Marion changed up their looks since Monday's NYC debut of The Dark Knight Rises. For the Big Apple screening, Anne wore white Prabal Gurung and Marion also donned a light, poufy Dior creation. The final instalment of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy is out in Australia today, and so far, critics are nearly uniform in their praise for the finished product.

The Dark Knight Rises: A Finale That Soars to Incredible Heights
Going to the movies with super-high expectations can be a dangerous thing, but that’s what most people will be doing when they get comfortable for a 164-minute screening of The Dark Knight Rises, Christopher Nolan’s 2012 blockbuster and the third and final film in his epic Batman trilogy that has seen Christian Bale don the iconic black suit. The good news? It delivers. It satisfies. Despite its long runtime, a necessity given Nolan’s multilayered plot that was scripted with his brother, Jonathan, The Dark Knight Rises is an enthralling ride — and we often feel like we’re literally on a ride — from start to finish.

Here’s what we know of the story: it’s set eight years after Nolan’s 2008 offering The Dark Knight. Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) has been living a secluded life holed up in his mansion, and as a result his crime-fighting alter-ego Batman has also been out of the spotlight. But that’s OK with Gotham City’s residents because they believe Batman was responsible for the death of the highly-esteemed DA, Harvey Dent. Crime in general has gone down in the years Batman’s been absent. And then Bane (Tom Hardy), a brutish, mask-wearing villain arrives on the scene and promises to bring chaos back to Gotham. Bruce knows what this means: it’s time to dust off that bat suit.

See the Celebrity Arrivals at the World Premiere of The Dark Knight Rises
After months of anticipation, The Dark Knight Rises (out July 19) held its world premiere in NYC today, and the blockbuster’s big name stars were out in force to walk the black carpet at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater. Leading man Christian Bale, who reprises his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman in Christopher Nolan’s movie for the third and final time, posed with his wife, Sibi Blazic, and co-star Gary Oldman. Anne Hathaway spends a great deal of the movie in black in her role as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, but dazzled in white Prabal Gurung at the premiere. New US Vogue cover girl Marion Cotillard, who stars as Bruce’s new love interest, wowed in white Dior, while newcomers to the franchise, Tom Hardy (villain Bane) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (beat cop John Blake) — who also worked on director Chris Nolan’s Inception with Marion — looked sharp in suits. Early reviews for The Dark Knight Rises have been positive, promising fans a brilliant end to the trilogy.
Super-Hot Superhero Eye Candy
Last week Andrew Garfield showed off his spidey skills — and hot, shirtless bod — as the superhero star of The Amazing Spider-Man. And what's better than one super-sexy superhero? A whole crop of them! This year is turning out to be superpowered hottie overload with The Avengers cast of steamy Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, and a bulked-up Chris Hemsworth as Thor. And in a couple of weeks Christian Bale brings his suited-up good looks back to the big screen as Batman in The Dark Knight Rises. I'm all for the superheroines, but when it comes to all these swoon-worthy superheroes, sign me up for the damsel in distress role! To get in the superhero spirit, let's look at the most smouldering caped crusaders to grace the big screen with their big guns.
