Katie Holmes, Naomi Watts and Anna Kendrick teamed up at Coach's Summer Party on the High Line in NYC yesterday. The three women were joined by Nashville star Connie Britton, Revenge's Joshua Bowman and model Chrissy Teigen as they mingled with New Yorkers at the park. Katie is currently filming her new project, Mania Days, in the city and she caused quite a stir on set a few weeks ago when she was spotted filming love scenes with co-star Luke Kirby out in public. Meanwhile, Naomi has been playing social butterfly in the Big Apple while her long-time love, Liev Schreiber, finishes up filming for his new project, Ray Donovan, in LA. Naomi hit up Stella McCartney's Resort 2014 presentation with friends Cameron Diaz and Kate Bosworth on Monday and joined forces with Sienna Miller at a charity event last week. She has big news to share today as the new trailer for Diana, her film about the life of Princess Diana, was released online.
Last night, Coach took over NYC's High Line for its annual Summer carnival shindig— complete with a dunk tank, jugglers, and a fortune-teller, not to mention a whole slew of celebrities in warm-weather outfits perfect for inspiring whatever you've got on your own datebook this weekend. Katie Holmes picked a pure white, Chloé one-shoulder dress, while Naomi Watts continued the casual look in a pale pink See by Chloé shirtdress and Irene Neuwirth jewels. Connie Britton kept it equally breezy in a blue skinny-strapped style. It was Anna Kendrick who went a different route, opting for a rocker look by pairing skinny jeans with a printed blouse and leather vest. Which outfit do you plan on copying?
The 67th annual Tony Awards came to Radio City Music Hall on Sunday night — and brought with it a crowd of very chic celebrities. The 67th annual Tony Awards rolled into Radio City Music Hall in NYC on Sunday to recognise achievements on Broadway. Host Neil Patrick Harris, who ran the show for the fourth time, walked the red carpet with David Burtka and kicked things off with a big musical number that included performers from almost a dozen Broadway musicals — as well as Mike Tyson dancing on stage. Best actor nominee Tom Hanks had wife Rita Wilson by his side, while Jake Gyllenhaal looked handsome in a crisp suit and bow tie after popping up at Spike TV's Guys Choice Awards on Saturday in LA. Annie's Jane Lynch took the stage to perform during the show but posed solo on the red carpet where Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson, in a custom bow tie from his Tie the Knot organisation, stuck by fiancé Justin Mikita's side. Presenter Anna Kendrick chose a Donna Karan Atelier gown, and past Tony winner Scarlett Johansson wore an all-black Saint Laurent ensemble for her onstage appearance with Alan Cummings. It's time for our weekly installment of the best, funniest, weirdest celebrity tweets. . . and this week we were spoiled for choice! Whether it was Anna Kendrick lamenting her spelling errors, Megan Gale standing up for one of her fellow Australians, Jimmy Fallon sending rather random thank-you notes, or Delta Goodrem avoiding social media for one very good reason, we were entertained and sometimes bewildered (thanks, Samuel L. Jackson) by these 140-character messages from some of our favourite celebs . . .
Justin Timberlake hit the red carpet to celebrate the release of The 20/20 Experience at LA's El Rey Theatre last night. He was joined by newly single Ryan Seacrest, whose split from girlfriend Julianne Hough was announced last week. Ryan interviewed Justin during the event, and their chat confirmed that Justin is in fact planning on dropping a second part to the album later this year. Also on hand for the bash were Emmy Rossum, Anna Kendrick, Nikki Reed, and a crowd full of fans, who were treated to a concert by Justin that included a performance of "Mirrors." He had made his way west after stopping over the weekend in Austin, Texas, where he held a secret Myspace event.
When there's no dress code on the invite, guests are free to interpret the "party dress" with their own brand of styling. Such was the case at last night's iHeartRadio 20/20 Justin Timberlake album release party, where attendees like Nikki Reed, Jordin Sparks, and Emmy Rossum celebrated JT with their own take on eventwear. Nikki made a case for the classics, keeping it easy in skinny pants and a semi-sheer button-up, while Jordin worked a cool-girl angle in leather pants, sexy heels, and a moto-style jacket. As for Emmy, she adopted a more ladylike approach, arriving in a sweet floral-embellished Topshop sheath and white heels. For the rest of the party guests, just keep clicking — then be sure to cast your vote for the night's best dressed.
